A startling video has emerged showing toddlers wandering on a Texas highway after a crash on August 11. The footage, shared on Facebook, captures two young children walking alone on Interstate 10 in Freeport, following a car accident.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that the crash involved a vehicle flipping multiple times, which ejected an adult and the two children. The video shows the toddlers with only minor scrapes. Two men quickly intervened to help them.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, with potential charges against the driver. “It’s not clear if the kids were in car seats or properly restrained,” the sheriff’s office stated.
The children were taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Thankfully, they are expected to recover fully. The other driver in the accident was unharmed. This incident highlights the crucial importance of ensuring children are safely secured in their car seats.
