Sales Assistant’s Hurtful Comment Inspires a Heartfelt Response

A store assistant made my wife, Emma, cry when she applied for a job, telling her she wasn’t “pretty enough” for the position. Emma, who has a passion for fashion and impeccable taste, was devastated by the rejection.

Seeing her heartbroken motivated me to act. I contacted my friend Mike from the fashion industry, and we came up with a plan. I visited the store pretending to be a customer. The assistant, eager to make a sale, became attentive. After a brief interaction, I stepped out and called Mike.

Mike arrived, posing as a talent scout. He evaluated the assistant and told her, “I don’t think you quite fit what we’re looking for.” He then suggested to me that I could be a model and praised Emma as ideal for a campaign. The assistant was stunned.

Although Emma chose not to pursue modeling, the experience helped her regain her confidence. A week later, we passed the store with Emma holding her head high, proving that sometimes, uplifting those you love is the best way to respond.
