Once celebrated as one of the most handsome men in Hollywood, the 88-year-old French actor now lives a reclusive life following a stroke in 2019. This health setback came shortly after he received an honorary Palme d’Or at Cannes. Now residing in a grand estate, La Brûlerie, in central France, he plans to be buried there alongside his beloved dogs.
Despite his serene surroundings, the actor is troubled by a bitter feud among his children. His sons and daughter have been embroiled in public disputes and legal battles over his assets. “It has to stop and everyone needs to calm down. That’s enough now,” said the actor’s lawyer, Christophe Ayela, trying to mediate the situation.
Complicating matters, the actor has openly admitted favoritism towards his daughter, stating, “I have a daughter who is the love of my life, perhaps a little too much with regard to the others.” This favoritism may have fueled tensions with his sons, who also work as actors.
