Pat Sajak, the familiar face of “Wheel of Fortune” for 43 years, is bidding farewell in June. The 77-year-old host has already taped his last show, set to air on June 7. Leading up to his goodbye, the show will air a special series called “Thanks for the Memories” in honor of Sajak.
Last summer, Sajak announced his decision to retire after the 41st season, expressing gratitude for the journey. He said, “It’s been an incredible journey, and I’ll be sharing more thoughts soon. Thank you all for your support.”
Following Sajak’s announcement, Ryan Seacrest was named the new host, while Vanna White continues in her role. Seacrest expressed humility and respect for Sajak’s legacy, saying, “It’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years.”
Fans are nostalgic about Sajak’s departure but curious about Seacrest’s approach. One viewer said, “I will certainly miss Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune! But I also can’t wait to see how Ryan Seacrest will handle the job.” Will you tune in for Sajak’s final episode?
