Richard’s surprise visit to his daughter, Deidre, on his eightieth birthday takes a worrying turn when he finds her in tears. Despite her attempt to brush off his concerns, Richard glimpses through the window and sees Deidre in distress with two menacing men. He learns she’s in deep debt to a dangerous gangster, Mr. Marco. Desperate to help, Richard agrees to settle her debt by smuggling contraband across the border.
However, his attempt ends in disaster as he accidentally sinks the car containing the contraband. To repay the debt, Richard mortgages his home and heads to the gang’s club with Deidre, where chaos erupts. In the midst of gunfire, the police arrive, arresting Mr. Marco and saving Richard and Deidre. Later, Richard discovers the car he sank helped the police apprehend the gang.
