Gary Sinise recently shared the heart-wrenching story of his son McCanna “Mac” Sinise, who passed away from cancer at the age of thirty-three.

Despite his illness, Mac found solace in completing a music album he had started years earlier during his college days at USC Thornton School of Music.

Gary recalled buying Mac his first drum set at nine and witnessing his musical talent flourish over the years. In his final days, Mac recorded the last tracks for his album, which will soon be available through the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Gary fondly remembered how Mac found comfort in watching “Forrest Gump” on his phone during his hospital stay, a film Gary starred in, which seemed to bring them closer despite his absence.
