Jamie Lee Curtis has shared her profound grief over the passing of her dear friend and fellow actor, Richard Lewis, who died of a heart attack at 76. Curtis, 65, took to Instagram to express her sorrow and gratitude, highlighting Lewis’s pivotal role in her life.
Curtis and Lewis starred together in the sitcom “Anything But Love” from 1989 to 1992. Curtis recalled first noticing Lewis on a billboard and insisting he be cast in the show. His audition, marked by a humorous mispronunciation of “Bundt cake,” showcased his charm and led to changes in the pilot to highlight their on-screen chemistry.
Curtis also revealed that Lewis played a crucial role in her sobriety journey. Celebrating 25 years of sobriety this month, Curtis credited Lewis with helping her overcome opioid addiction.
