MTV Reality Star Dies at 52

Sarah Becker, a cast member of MTV’s “The Real World” Season 5, has died at 52. Becker, who appeared on the 1996 Miami-based season, passed away from suicide at her Illinois home last week, as reported by TMZ.

Becker moved to Illinois to care for her mother and sister but had planned to return to California. She faced mental health struggles and was injured in a skateboard accident. During her time on “The Real World,” Becker worked in the comic book industry and became known for bringing a puppy named Leroy to the show.

The cast received $50,000 to start a business, but despite their efforts, the ventures failed. Becker was remembered by her family as someone who “took care of everyone else, other than herself.”
