After four decades hosting “Wheel of Fortune,” Pat Sajak hints that his time may be drawing to a close. Despite its enduring popularity, Sajak, 75, reflects, “In most television shows by this time, you would have said, ‘That’s probably enough,’ but this show will not die.” Since joining in 1981, alongside Vanna White, 65, he’s become a beloved figure. Sajak shared, “It appears I may go before the show.”
“It’s an honor to have been in people’s living rooms for that long,” Sajak said gratefully. He also mentioned his joy hosting the show’s spin-off with guests like Meryl Streep. “Years go by fast,” he reflected, adding, “We’re getting near the end. It’s been a long [time]. We’re not gonna do this for another 40 years. The end is near.”
In December, Sajak celebrated his 40th hosting anniversary, marking the occasion with a heartfelt tribute from his daughter, Maggie. She tweeted, “Happy 40th Wheel-iversary to this guy!”
