Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, married singer Firerose, 34, in October 2023, sparking fan interest. Their engagement was hinted when Firerose flaunted a diamond ring in 2022, revealing Billy’s earlier proposal.
Recalling the proposal, Firerose said, “Billy looked at me and said, ‘Do you, do you wanna marry me?’ And I was just like, ‘Of course I do. I love you.’”
They first met 12 years ago during Billy’s Hannah Montana filming. Billy reminisced, “I thought, ‘This girl’s a star.’”
Despite Firerose not landing a role, Billy offered her a studio tour, fostering a friendship. They got engaged in August 2022, and she moved in shortly after.
Before Firerose, Billy was married to Tish Cyrus for 28 years, with whom he shares five children.
The couple collaborated on music, recently releasing “Plans,” drawing excitement from Firerose: “‘Plans’ is such a radiant song filled with love and fervor.”
Their wedding photos drew attention, with some fans joking about Billy’s hair. Despite the jests, congratulations poured in for the couple.
